I’m Frances (Frankie) Balek. I’m writing my first book, a memoir, about my entry into the horse world, about falling down, dusting off your britches, and never giving up.
My memoir is an outgrowth of my tendency to re-tell stories from my own experience, to illustrate complex concepts to new riders and to growing children. These stories were born of the scars and scrapes and celebrations of my own experiences, and they are requested again and again by my family and friends.
So now, I’m sharing stories with you, both through my book, and through this blog. I hope you stick around, and share a few yourself!
